Publishing and Sharing

Publishing and Sharing

SceneItAll lets you publish scripts to lock them as official versions and control who has access to your project.

Publishing a Script

Publishing marks a script revision as the official version, locking it for the team.

  1. In the script viewer, click the lock/share button in the header.
  2. The Publish Script dialog opens.
  3. Click “Publish Script”.

Once published:

  • A green checkmark and “Published” label appear with the publication date.
  • The script is marked as the current official version.

Reverting to Unpublished

If you need to make the script editable again:

  1. Open the publish dialog.
  2. Click “Revert to Unpublished”.

The script returns to draft status.

Inviting Team Members

To add people to your project:

  1. Use the invite functionality from the project settings.
  2. Share the project code with team members so they can join.

Each project member can access all scripts, breakdowns, and crew data within that project, based on their role permissions.

Tips

  • Publish scripts when a revision is finalized and ready for the team to work from. This prevents confusion about which version is current.
  • Reverting a published script is straightforward — use it when a last-minute change needs to go in.
  • Only admins can publish or revert scripts.
