Compare Scenarios
Compare Scenarios
The Compare tab lets you see the differences between two scenarios side by side, so you can evaluate which schedule works better before committing to one.
How to Compare
- Go to the Schedule section and select the Compare tab.
- Select Scenario A from the first dropdown.
- Select Scenario B from the second dropdown.
The comparison runs automatically once both scenarios are selected.
Comparison Results
The results are shown as summary cards with counts:
| Category | Color | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Added | Green | Scenes in Scenario B that are not in Scenario A |
| Removed | Red | Scenes in Scenario A that are not in Scenario B |
| Moved | Blue | Scenes that changed shoot day between scenarios |
| Reordered | Amber | Scenes on the same day but in a different position |
| Unchanged | Gray | Scenes in the same day and position in both scenarios |
Below the summary, a detail section lists moved strips with their source and target day numbers.
Use Cases
- Evaluating alternatives — Create two schedule versions and compare to see what changed.
- Weather cover — Compare your main schedule with a weather cover scenario to understand the impact.
- Post-change review — After rearranging scenes, compare with the locked original to see what moved.
Tips
- You can compare a locked scenario against an unlocked one to see how proposed changes differ from the finalized schedule.
- The comparison only shows structural differences (day assignment and order), not changes to day metadata like crew call times.
