Scripts overview
The Scripts section is where you upload screenplays, read them in proper screenplay format, track drafts as colored revisions, compare drafts, comment on scenes, and run continuity checks. It is the most upstream stage in SceneItAll: everything you do later — breakdown, crew, schedule, and reports — reads from the script you load here. This overview explains how the pieces fit together and links to the task articles.

Key concepts
Episodes hold scripts
Every script belongs to an episode. For a TV Series, each episode maps to one episode of the show. For a Feature Film or Short, you use a single episode to hold the whole screenplay, and the episode selector stays hidden. See Manage episodes.
Revisions are colored drafts
Each draft you upload is a revision, labeled with an industry-standard revision color — White for the first draft, then Blue, Pink, Yellow, and so on. You switch between revisions, compare them, and mark one as the default. See Manage script revisions and the revision colors reference.
The Script top bar drives revision selection
You pick the project, episode, and Script-viewer revision from selectors in the top bar, not from a panel inside the Scripts screen. While you are in Scripts, the Revision selector and Episode selector (TV Series only) sit to the left of the Project selector. Their dropdowns also hold the management actions — Upload Revision, Revision Settings, Add Episode, Episode Settings, and Show Archived. The Revision selector disappears in downstream sections, which use the latest production-ready revision automatically.

The script viewer is the reading surface
The main area renders the screenplay in screenplay format — scene headings, action, dialogue, and transitions in Courier Prime. Floating control cards sit over the page: a control panel at the top right (Lock & Share, Translate, View, Download), a scene/page navigator at the bottom left, and a continuity-warnings card at the bottom right. Where this fits
Scripts are the start of the SceneItAll data flow: Script → Breakdown → Crew → Schedule → Reports. Data flows downstream only. After a script is parsed, SceneItAll maps its revision-native scenes to stable production scenes for the episode. Breakdown, crew, scenarios, schedules, and reports share those stable scenes and automatically take screenplay details from the latest production-ready revision by date. Reports take a snapshot of upstream state; they never write back to the script.
