Take the guided tour
The guided tour is an optional, on-screen introduction to SceneItAll. It points directly to the controls it is explaining, moves between the main sections for you, and adapts to your access level, project data, and screen size.
Start after choosing your first project
If your new account does not have a project yet, SceneItAll first lets you create your own project or start with the sample project. The tour invitation appears after that project opens, so the guide can point to controls that are ready to use.
When the invitation appears, choose:
- Start guide to start the tour.
- No thanks to close the invitation. You can still start the tour later from Settings.
The invitation belongs to your account, so it is not repeatedly shown on every device. Existing accounts created before the guided tour was introduced are not interrupted by a new automatic invitation.
Move through the tour
Each coach mark highlights one part of the live application and explains what it does. Use:
- Continue to move to the next useful control.
- Back to revisit the previous control.
- Exit guide or the Escape key to pause and close the tour.
The coach-mark buttons use roomy tap targets. If the browser has very little vertical space, the card stays within the available area and its content can scroll.
The progress indicator shows where you are in the current tour. SceneItAll remembers the last step when you pause, so Resume guide in Settings returns to that point.
The route may change when you continue. For example, the tour can move from Scripts to Breakdown and then to Schedule so that the highlighted control is visible. A missing control is skipped instead of leaving the tour stuck on a loading state.
What the tour covers
On a desktop-sized screen, the tour introduces the controls that are relevant to the current project, including:
- Switching projects and using the main navigation.
- Uploading a script or choosing a script revision.
- Opening Breakdown, reviewing the scene overview, and opening scene details when scenes exist.
- Opening Schedule, adding shoot days, finding unscheduled scenes, and working with a schedule day.
The exact steps are adaptive:
- View-only members see explanations without instructions to change project data.
- Controls that need a script, scene, or shoot day appear only when that data exists.
- The compact companion layout uses a shorter tour of the navigation, Scripts, Schedule, and Reports rather than desktop-only breakdown and drag-and-drop instructions.
Resume or restart later
On desktop, open the settings cog, then choose Account → Guided Tour. On a phone-sized screen, open Settings from the top bar and choose Guided Tour.
The action reflects your progress:
- Start guide starts a tour that has not run.
- Resume guide continues a paused tour.
- Restart guide begins again from the first currently relevant step after a declined or completed tour.
Finishing the last step marks the tour complete and shows a short confirmation. You can restart it at any time from Settings.
